UPDATE: Algoma has leveraged the City’s investment to reach an enrolment of 3,000 students in 2022.
Brampton City Council is investing $7.3 million for the expansion of Algoma University’s academic programming and facilities within Garden Square. The university will contribute $27 million to the project.
Algoma University’s enrolment will grow to 1,000 students by 2023 and offer degree and certificate programs in Computer Science, Psychology, Community Economic and Social Development and the Aviation Management program.
The Aviation Management Professional Program (AMP) started a year ago in Downtown Brampton. AMP meets the growing demand in the aviation industry for both flight and non-flight students. Algoma University is one of only three universities in Ontario to offer aviation management programming.
