Paul Vicente is a Regional Councillor in Wards 1&5 in Brampton and at the Region of Peel, first elected in 2018.
A proud 40-year resident of the Region of Peel, Paul is deeply committed to building a strong and vibrant municipality, always driven and guided by the needs and voices of the community.
As a board member of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Regional and Single Tier Caucus since 2020, he thinks provincially, working on behalf of all Ontarians. Paul believes collaboration, strong partnerships, and community engagement are the keystones of policy-building that empower municipalities to thrive.
He has pushed provincial and federal governments to invest in public transit, transportation networks, and water and wastewater systems. These improvements are crucial for supporting the much-needed increase in housing supply, ensuring the region’s growing population has access to safe, affordable homes.
As the sitting Vice-Chair of Human Services for the Region of Peel, Paul is a staunch advocate for fair funding, not just for Peel but across all municipalities, believing that every person in need should have access to the social services they require.
